To find teammates you can play with regularly, include your game, available hours, preferred language and session type in the first message. Rank helps set expectations, but it does not tell you whether someone will be free when you are.

Use the examples below as a starting point. After a first session, suggest another specific time rather than leaving the next invite to chance.

What to include in your teammate post

Include your game, mode, rank, server or region, usual playtime and preferred language. Say whether you use voice chat and whether the session is casual or focused on rank.

For example, a BGMI player could write:

BGMI · Classic ranked · 8:30–11 PM IST · Hindi/English · Mic preferred · Looking for two regular players. Calm calls; no hot drops every match.

A VALORANT player could write:

VALORANT · Mumbai server · Competitive · Gold–Platinum · Controller/flex · From 9 PM IST · Looking for players who communicate without backseat coaching.

Mention if you are learning a role or returning after a break. You do not need to sound experienced to find a suitable group.

Finding BGMI teammates

Start with recent teammates you enjoyed playing with. Ask if they want to play again and suggest a time.

If you need more players, try a moderated community or a teammate finder. Check whether the group plays Classic, Arena or custom rooms, whether a mic is expected and how seriously everyone takes rank.

Play a few matches before committing to a regular squad. Notice whether people listen, stay through a difficult match and turn up when they said they would. Never share your password or OTP to join a team.

Finding VALORANT teammates

Include your server, mode, rank range and preferred roles. Someone practising agents in Unrated may want a different session from a group building a ranked five-stack.

Check the current party and rank restrictions in Riot’s client or official support pages before arranging a Competitive session. Queue rules can change.

For casual games, agree on the mode and how you want to communicate. A perfect agent lineup matters less than everyone understanding the plan.

Other games: what changes?

For Free Fire and COD Mobile, name the mode, region and language. For Minecraft, include Java or Bedrock, your platform and the world rules. For other games, mention anything that could stop someone joining: cross-play support, server, platform or required progress.

Post separately for each game so people can quickly see the information that applies to them.

Finding players near your city

For online matches, a city or region and your available hours are usually enough. You do not need to share your home address or live location.

Nearby discovery depends on the platform’s coverage and the players active in your area. Check its location permissions and what other users can see before enabling it.

Using BytePlay

Add the games you play to your profile, then check Party Finder for a group or start your own. Make your timing and session preferences clear. Use Squad Rooms to gather players before you launch the game.

Features and available players can vary by region and app version. If there is no suitable group yet, leave a clear request and check back later.

After your first session

If you enjoyed playing together, suggest another specific time: “Same time Thursday?” Check whether the group handles mistakes well and whether you would enjoy another match with them.

Rank can help set expectations, but timing, communication and behaviour matter when choosing regular teammates.
