BytePlay · Trust & safety
Community Guidelines
Respect the player. Protect the community.
These standards apply to BytePlay, operated by THEBYTEPLAY PRIVATE LIMITED, across profiles, messages, media, Clubs, Hubs and online or in-person activity arranged through our services. Updated 4 October 2026.
Play with respect
Do not harass, threaten, discriminate against, impersonate or exploit another person. Do not share someone’s private information without permission, send scams or spam, distribute malware, or use BytePlay to arrange illegal activity. Respect consent and boundaries in messages, voice rooms and meetups. Report concerns instead of retaliating.
Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation
BytePlay prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). A child or minor means anyone under 18 for these standards. This protection applies regardless of the age of our intended audience or a user’s account eligibility.
- Creating, possessing for distribution, uploading, requesting, soliciting, purchasing, selling or distributing sexual content involving minors, including computer-generated depictions of their sexual abuse.
- Grooming minors for sexual purposes, sexual solicitation, or attempting to move a child to another service to exploit them.
- Sextortion, coercion, threats or blackmail involving a minor’s sexual content or conduct.
- Sexual exploitation or trafficking of minors, and promoting, facilitating or arranging their abuse.
These rules cover content and conduct, including attempts to evade enforcement with coded language, links or external services.
Report a user, message or safety concern
Inside BytePlay, open Settings → Report a concern and choose Safety. Include the username, content or message reference, and a short description. You can also use the message reporting control in chat to report the relevant message and its immediate context.
Open in-app reporting · Email our child-safety contact
You do not need a BytePlay account to email a report. Do not download, copy, forward or attach suspected CSAM. Provide the location of the content and relevant account details instead. Do not send passwords, identity documents or unrelated private conversations. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or law enforcement first.
Investigation and enforcement
BytePlay investigates safety reports and takes action on violating content and accounts. When we obtain actual knowledge of CSAM on our services, we remove or disable access to it. Depending on the violation, we restrict, suspend or terminate accounts and take steps to prevent further abuse. Reports are handled by authorized personnel with access limited to what is needed for review.
Where legally required, we preserve relevant evidence securely and escalate it to competent authorities. We report confirmed CSAM to the appropriate national or regional authority as required by applicable law. Evidence is not made public or redistributed through ordinary support channels.
We may retain restricted records when needed to meet legal obligations, respond to a lawful request or protect someone’s safety, subject to our Privacy Policy. We do not promise a particular investigation outcome or disclose another person’s private account information to a reporter.
